The key is to make the dough. This time, I used a recipe from a popular TV program. As a result, it turned out to be the most delicious baked cake ever!
I made the cake dough based on a recipe introduced on the popular TV program “Aiba Manabu.” It takes 15 minutes for the dough to be ready, including preparation.
And the finished dough was baked, of course, in the Hot-Cook! It takes 45 minutes to cook.
The delicious sponge cake, baked soft and fluffy, is laid out for a night, and the next day, it is coated with a generous amount of whipped cream.
With strawberries, we had Strawberry Shortcake. This is one for the home party!

Hot Cook Recipe [Shortcake] How to make
- First, smear unsalted butter (about 5g) on the inner pan of the Hot-Cook using a paper towel. It is best to spread it up to the MAX line of the pot.
(Photo 1) Heat 20 ml of milk in a microwave, add 30 g of unsalted butter and melt well.
(Photo 2)In a separate bowl, add the eggs, sugar, and honey.
(Photo 3)Using a whisk, melt the mixture in a bowl of hot water while warming it (hot water bath).
When the whole beaten egg becomes as warm as lukewarm water, replace the whisk with a hand mixer.
(Photo 4)Mix with the hand mixer in the center of the bowl “on high speed for 2 minutes“. Do not move the hand mixer from the center.
Remove the bowl from the hot water.
Next, mix on medium speed for 6 minutes, moving the hand mixer gently.
(Photo 5)Sift 90 g of flour, divide it into 3 portions, and mix it into the dough by scooping it up from the bottom with a spatula.
(Photo 6)Finally, add the warmed milk and melted butter, and mix in the same way, scooping up the mixture from the bottom of the bowl.
- Pour the dough into the Hot-Cook from a high position. Tap the bottom of the Hot-Cook inner pot several times from below, and then drop the pot onto a cutting board or wet cloth a couple of times to release the air in the batter.

Place a cooking sheet (about 45cm X 45cm) on a mesh.
When you hear the finishing chime, open the lid and remove the inner pot, careful not to burn yourself.
Place it upside down on the cooking sheet, and the sponge cake will come out.
Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight when the residual heat is removed.
If you are in a hurry, you do not need to let the dough rest overnight, but it is OK when the dough has cooled down, the dough has settled, you can cut it with a knife, and the cream is just wet enough without melting.
