Taste Scoring
★★★★★ Cooking time: 75 minutes, Preparation: 15 minutes + Hot Cook: 45~60 minutes
When I cut the finished omelet into pieces, the inside was soft and fluffy, delicious. I’m sure I would be able to enjoy different flavor variations by changing the ingredients! I enjoyed it over the weekend with a glass of wine in the morning! We can make a delicious omelet with either the newer or older Hot Cook models!
There are three major ways to make an open omelet in a Hot-Cook, depending on the Hot-Cook models.
Method | Process | Model | Cooking Time |
1. Fully-Automatic | From mixing to baking automatically | Model number ending “G” or later | 1 hour |
2. Semi-automatic | Mixing by hand, baking automatically | Model number ending “G,” “F,” or later | 55 min. |
3. Cook with Old Model | Mixing by hand, baking with a sponge cake menu | Model number ending before “G,” “F” | 45 min. |
When you make it with a full-automatic function, everything is done automatically, from mixing the ingredients, so it is the easiest. However, it turned out that some eggs were baked in chunks of about 2 cm in diameter at the end of cooking. But that is not a big problem because they are still delicious.
The semi-automatic method is to beat the eggs, mix the ingredients by hand, and then have the Hot-Cook do only the baking. The surface of the omelet turned out a beautiful yellow color, and the inside was fluffy and delicious.
When making an open omelet with the older models, it worked well when made with the “sponge cake” menu. The required cooking time is 45 minutes shorter than the newer models. However, the surface of the finished omelet was a little burnt, as if the heat was a little too intense. However, the inside baked well, and the overall flavor was okay.

This article introduces recipes using the Hot Cook, which has become an indispensable part of our home.
Hot Cook Recipe [Open omelet] One Point Advice
- It is recommended to use a fluorine-coated inner pot to make omelets so that the bottom of the pot will not stick after cooking.
- If you use an older model with a stainless steel inner pot, place a cookie sheet on the bottom of the pot and pour the ingredients and seasonings mixed into a separate bowl.

From here on, I will introduce 3 ways for step 2 and Step 3 to make the dish separately.
1. In case of fully-automatic cooking (model number ending in “G” or later)
- Add all ingredients and seasonings to the pot.
- Eggs can be added as is without beating.
Select a menu => Search by category => Sweets/Others => Open Omelet (Ingredient mixing ~ Baking) =>
Start cooking => Start
2. In case of Semi-automatic (model number ending in “F” or “G” or later)
- Combine all ingredients except the egg and seasonings in an inner pot and mix them well.
- Break the eggs into a separate bowl and beat well.
- Add the beaten eggs to the pan and mix well.
Select a menu => Search by category => Sweets/Others => Open Omelet => Start cooking => Start
3. In case of the old model (model number ending before “G, “F”)
Use Hot-Cook “Sponge cake” menu.
- Combine all ingredients except the egg and seasonings in an inner pot and mix them well.
- Break the eggs into a separate bowl and beat well.
- Add the beaten eggs to the pan and mix well.
Select a menu => Search by category => Sweets/Others => Sponge cake => Start cooking => Start
The first time when I made it with the old model, I set it to Manual Make → Bake Cake → Cooking Time “1 hour,” and the surface got very scorched.
If you want to make it with the old model, I recommend making it with the “sponge cake” menu.
Remove from the Hot-Cook pot and finish.
When you hear the finishing chime, open the lid, place a large plate over the inner pot, and turn it over, being careful not to burn yourself, and the omelet will stonily fall onto the plate.
Cut the omelet into pieces of your desired size and serve.
Omelets are great at night, but they are also quite good as a late weekend breakfast!
